Emmerson Boyce took Wigan ahead with a close range effort in the thirteenth minute in a one all draw against Fulham. Tom Huddlestone netted his second goal in three appearances for Tottenham in a 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Leon Barnett moved to Coventry on a short term loan deal until January 2010, with the Sky Blues boss expressing his desire to make the move permanent.
Tom Huddlestone has been called up to the England squad for their friendly against Brazil in Qatar.
Kyle Naughton and Danny Rose are named in the squad for England U21 European qualifier against Portugal to be played at Wembley. Jack Wilshere was unable to join up with the squad due to injury. Adam Matthews received his first senior call up for Wales after his superb form for Cardiff. Aaron Ramsey and Chris Gunter are also included in Wales squad for their friendly against Scotland.
